In this video, we’re going to look at what to do if your Leadfeeder Tracker isn’t working as expected — especially if you're seeing a message like “Not receiving data.”
Step 1: Check Your Traffic Rules
Let’s start by heading to your Traffic Filtering settings.
Look at the hostname listed — is it the website you actually want to track? If it's not correct, the Tracker won’t pick up your data.
You might be wondering — “But it says Receiving Data?”
Good question. Sometimes the status just hasn't been updated yet. But to be sure, make sure to double-check that the script is still present on your site.
And how can you check if your script is missing?
When you first started with Leadfeeder, you (or someone on your team) installed a small snippet of code — the Leadfeeder Tracker.
We never have access to your website’s code, and we never ask for it — that’s for your security. So if the script disappears, it’s likely due to a change on your end.
Often, scripts are removed or overwritten during website updates — especially if:
A team member removed it unknowingly
The site was redesigned or updated or the header code was replaced without including the Tracker
So what should you do? We recommend having a quick chat with your team.
Ask:
or
Once you find out what happened, you can reinstall the Tracker to get back on track.
